I admit it - I’m a huge gaming nerd. My bookshelves groan under the tremendous weight of various Dungeons & Dragons tomes, and I’ve even written more than a few. But for the past couple of years, I’ve been out of gaming because I just didn’t have time. Today, all that changed.
You see, today the first official 4th Edition of Dungeons & Dragons sort of kicked off with a bang. The adventure, Keep on the Shadowfells, really harkens back to the old blue box feel that got me started with D&D in the first place.
Everything seems simpler, more streamlined, and definitely more nostalgic than the old 3rd Edition did. While I really admire the technical and mechanical aspects of 3rd Edition, I really think 4th is a better game from what I’ve seen.
