For years she’s carefully selected her materials, meticulously designed one-of-a-kind articles of clothing, and sold them to hundreds of parents across the country. Here’s a fun recipe to try this summer to keep the kids busy. Remember that flauxm is inedible, so please be sure to supervise children when making or playing with the fllauxm. It will also stain or adhere to clothing, carpeting, etc. so use it in an area that is easily cleaned. Feel free to share any photos of your work!

Upholstery Project
As mentioned in today’s podcast, I like to do all kinds of projects from sewing to home improvement. I am currently working on couch covers for a friend whose doggie got a little frenzied in the shredding department. I’m not a professional upholsterer but I thought you might like to see my attempts at two of our own projects. I redid a couch and loveseat for our living room and also gave a bench a facelift. While time consuming, they were both worthy projects and have served us well. I got the materials on Ebay and learned the techniques online and just jumped right in.

I’ve had a couple of requests to post pictures of some of the cakes I’ve made for the kids’ birthdays. They’ve recently shunned the homemade cake in favor of a store purchased one(the horror!) but I expect them to appreciate them in, say, another 20 years. I’m patient. I can wait.
